Since lacing the trainers back up in April, it’s been a case of one buggy push, one footstep, and one small win at a time.

April saw the return of buggy parkruns, club miles, and solo runs squeezed in around parenting, work, and the general chaos of life. It wasn’t glamorous – some runs were more shuffle than stride, and others had to be walked off when Joe needed snacks or just… didn’t vibe with it that day. But we kept going.

This post tracks every run logged since I got back out there – solo and buggy miles alike. Whether it was chasing segments or chasing sanity, they all count.

Below is a table showing the distance and pace of each run. You’ll spot buggy runs listed under “Buggy” (which, in Garmin terms, means Trail Run – more on that another time), and solo efforts marked clearly.

Quick Takeaways:

  • Buggy Progress: From over 13-minute miles to touching the 11-minute range – pushing progress in every sense.
  • Solo Efforts: Harder to come by but great for checking in on where my actual pace is.
  • Most Recent: A 4.3-mile buggy club run – not bad after a Saturday parkrun and Sunday social!

Every mile logged here is proof that effort stacks. Some runs were strong, others were strugglefests, but they all added up to forward movement. And at this stage, that’s the win.

What’s Next?

This post might become a regular feature – maybe monthly or fortnightly depending on how the legs (and life) are holding up. I might even throw in charts, top segments, or other… I don’t know, it might even be resigned to coming back whenever.
